There's an unfortunate and unacknowledged truth about sexuality buried within all of this. The message used to be that homosexuality was something innate, an abberation, not a choice. This was the most compassionate evaluation a society built on compulsory heterosexuality could put forward, but of course it creates an implicit pathological component as well. Now the message is turning into one in which everyone is innately bisexual or some equivalent, which creates an implicit choice. Both fail to recognize the reality of sexuality. It is shaped from experience like every other aspect of human social existence. The human being operates on an attraction/aversion dynamic analyzed through the context of survival. Sexuality can be shaped by both good and bad stimuli in this context. A taboo area of psychology is the recognition of "alternative sexualities" that result from traumatic experience. Now alternative is of course a term being used to imply heterosexuality is the norm, but nevertheless it is observed that life experiences can influence orientation. One dangerous element of patriarchal society is the relegation of women to objects of possession to be exploited for emotional labor and sexual gratification. Another dangerous element is compulsory heterosexuality. It is within these two dynamics that pedophilia arises. A man believes he owns his daughter's body, and society conditions the lust after youthful vulnerability. It can also be an act of vengeance/punishment towards an older women who he despises for her failure to live up to his expectations of feminity. Then there is the male with same sex attraction who clandestinely preys upon younger males to satisfy his desires while keeping his failures to adhere to masculinity hidden.

Children who come from these situations very often develop these "alternative" sexualities. And yet again social conditioning around gender play a role. Female abuse survivors often flee the male sex altogether seeking other females for partnership, in some cases feeling so threatened that they wish to abandon womanhood altogether. Males tend more towards seeking traumatic repetition, unable to reconcile being a victim with the expectations of masculinity.

As a result of this a significant percentage of homosexuals today, especially males have been shaped by pedophilia. The abusive nature of such a dynamic becomes increasingly reflected in the lgbtqia community. The identities shaped by abuse become valued. Victims and abusers come together in celebration. Predatory behavior legitimized by the context.

The truth about human sexuality is that it is determined by the social environment, anyone may come to love or be attracted to another. This doesn't imply choice, merely is the explanation of how orientation is formed. The toxicity around sexuality today, especially as is overtly present in the lgbtqia community is a result of oppressive social conditions that give rise to abuse. As the social conditions go unchecked this trajectory will result in pressure for mainstream acceptance of pedophilia. Coming gradually in the reduction of age of consent coupled with the liberalization of prostitution.
