I think they both were called as such. Of course, Morgoth is original Lord of Darkness and much more powerful, but he is less known, that's why I used his former servants name.

In my country, Poland, Mark Twain is know almost exclusively as author books for childrens (Tom Sawyer, The Prince and the Pauper). Most people are not aware that most of his works are for adults and have stron religious/philosphical themes.

George R.R. Martin and Patrick Rothfuss have totally fucked over an entire generation of new authors. These books dominated their genres for a lot of years, and their fans have been left waiting for over a decade for them to fulfill their promises. by Chipit in books

Can Rothfuss influence be compared to Martin's? Martin is obviously one of the most popular writers nowadays, but there many more famous and influential fantasy writers than Rothfuss, e.g. Sanderson.
