What kind of content were they posting? Guessing it was pretty bad?

He's the best poster in terms of non-conspiracy related material, and he also posted good conspiracy links now and then. I really hope he comes back. When he took a break before, he did it because he was too busy. I even asked him not to delete his account so that his posts don't get deleted but he does it anyway.

I see that in this case it doesn't, but does it never? Regardless: his account functioned as an archive of what he has posted. That's gone now.

You could of course delete everything before deleting your account. But it won't happen automatically.

As a matter of fact, you can't even delete an account at all. It just hides it. Same with posts and comments. Something I'm uncomfortable with is that I can actually see them in admin mode. That functionality is inherited from reddit, not designed by anyone here. So remember to always edit and make the text blank before you delete something.
