"God loves pedophiles [and] he created them for a reason..."

Yeah, because the Church needs priests.

How many people did god kill in the bible?

How many people did the devil kill?

Maybe people have been asking the wrong questions all along.

There's multiple problems with this take:

    1. The devil isn't mentioned in the Old Testament.

    2. Most if not all stories in the Bible are not meant to be taken literally.

    3. The Jews (and early Christians who edited the New Testament) conflated "the Father" with other pagan gods and the devil.

    4. The Bible is corrupted (Jeremiah 7-8, Sermon on the Mount).

    5. The devil is repeatedly called "the God of this world", so is presumably the one who committed all the atrocities.

    6. For whatever reason, the field of Bible translation seems to be dominated by the fire and brimstone types.

    7. Antiquity had plenty of Jews and Christians who rejected such awful atrocities. Unfortunately meekness is weakness in this world, so they were killed off by the corrupt sects who were ready to use power, violence, and fear to control people. They were branded heretics and "gnostics". Their books were burned and their history erased aside from church polemics against them.

    8. "Satanism" in present day is just a bunch of rebellious emo teenagers. They're atheists who think religion is stupid, including any notion of Satan. Ironically their characterization of Satan as a freedom fighter is rather similar to the role of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.
