This makes me SO fuckin angry. "This is common" wtf. Why would you even make that claim on a topic that has never been studied.

I realize that most of these people are children, and legitimately do not know any better. However, the fact that there are a) a few mentally ill adults advocating for these beliefs, often violently, and b) other adults willing to placidly agree with anything these kids are saying, is stunning to me.
