It's from a book that appears after Colby's death. There is no primary source at all. McGowean was the author and like this quote he appears to also:

McGowan unattributed quote (p33), of Lincoln, is a lie as well.

If a conapiracy theorist is using the mythological heroic Lincoln as a fact, then we must question everything else as well.

So many people, like Ellen Brown, Bill Still also do this. It's like they just rely on what someone else says. But if you can get screenshots that would be great.

" I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country... corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war. "

It's sad to think a couple mistakes, intentional or otherwise, can throw a whole lifetime's good work into question.

I suppose these might be worth adding to https://wikispooks.com/wiki/David_McGowan ?

I don't know if there needs to be special sharing or if anyone can see these: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aZoyc6kGrqZYUSeG2sdirjny3yJeR3o_ If not I'll upload them soon enough. And I'll take a pic of p.33 too.

Lincoln was a tool for the pro-aristocratic whigs. He was a whig himself. Neoliberals have heroized him. It's disgusting what Lincoln and the Frankfurt school of bankers did to the US. Permanent public debt and debt backed bonds for a fiat currency. The FED was just the icing on the cake.

Read up on Lincoln. The civil war was not fought over slavery but was fomented by Frankfurt and British banking rivalries.

And yet this Lincoln and his advisors who he appointed were quite contrary to this quote, suppsedly uttered from his mouth. They are politicians after all. The British lost their bid for a new chartered bank, Andrew Jackson was staunchly against the charter and won.

Lincoln was backed by the whigs and reconstructionists who basically said:

"Hey look, we are going to screw over the contitution, centralize government and enforce a banking scheme based on permenant public debt. But this is different, you cannot be against us because we aren't the British, where JP Morgan and Co.
