I discovered only yesterday that uBlock can block JS and the like. It can replace uMatrix. So this browser comes out of the box with the only extension you really need to make browsing an acceptable experience. (Although NoScript still has value, since it has some unique features.)

Note that uBlock lets you whitelist the sites that it breaks. You need to click on the button and then on "more" one or two times to reveal the content matrix.
