they should have never been allowed to unionize

False. Unions are among the only reasons workers get a livable wage in some sectors. Republicans have been destroying unions since the Reagan era, which should have proven to everyone that Republicans are unelectable. They will not help their constituents. Consider the level of brainwashing necessary to elect a Republican.

Stupid conflation trick. These are public sector people who are not at any kind of "risk."

Conflation of which two factors?

Did you not notice the firing, layoffs and attempted firing of public sector people by DOGE and the Executive Branch in recent weeks?

We all benefit from unions, unless we profit from the exploitation of the workforce. Everyone knows this or should know it.

This is complete fiction. No we do not benefit from PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS. Nobody does except for the state blob.

It's not fiction, and you can easily look up the facts about unions. You'll also know about the recent firings.

These are not unions. These are preformative state facsimiles that only exist to spread socialist culture and debt.

LOL

the president "signed an Executive Order using authority granted by the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 (CSRA) to end collective bargaining with Federal unions"

(Not, "the president "signed an Executive Order ...to end collective bargaining with preformative state facsimiles that only exist to spread socialist culture and debt.")

Human rights are part of the Constitution; they're not 'socialist culture and debt'.

Federal fake unions.

Who do you think benefits from this assumption? Workers? Or the .1%? You could read about the history of unions. It's very interesting.

Once again, Yomamma speaking from inexperience.... There are definite benefits from a Unions protecting you from Psychotic Management, but there are some Union employees that haven't the faintest clue what they're doing and you can't fire them.

All of your points are false. There's nothing controversial about the importance of unions, ffs. Look it up before you comment.

government workers should not be allowed to unionize, they work for the gubmint and should not be guaranteed endless employment when the money is not available to support them, period.

government unions are a monkey on the back of the taxpayers.

I see your point, but those are not elected employees, and the fact is, all employees deserve the same kind of respect and treatment. Unions help arrange that. Employees can be fired under the appropriate contractual conditions. Without Union support, there are no protections for the staff.

The federal unions representing the employees of the US government are the largest unions in the USA and have a lopsided influence on who gets elected - they only support politicians that will create and support legislation that makes the unions stronger and create more benefits for the public employees. That is destructive to the USA as a whole because the tax payers that are not government employees are the source of all funding, the government employees do not contribute to tha taxable base, everything they earn and are taxed on originates from private sector employees. That is unsustainable because government does not create wealth and more government employees means more taxation without a way to stop the cycle. Not to mention that government employees have full insurance coverage and the best benefit packages by far of any group of employees in the country, 100% of all those benefits coming from private sector employees taxes. The weight of that burden is crushing normal working class americans that are not government employees.

Of course if you are a government employee you will want this unsustainable cycle to continue.

OK - proper arguments there. But what will be lost are proper protections for government employees and their salaries. If there are the problems you mention, which I doubt (many, if not most, of those employees are Republicans), the recent decision is playing politics - much like with the massive tariffs - rather than seeking a solution. It's likely one of the many Project 2025 plans, written for Trump to sign, with the aim of making the US a banana republic. Like other recent executive orders given to the Project 2025 puppet to sign, this latest decision throws the baby out with the bath water so to speak, by reducing the rights and the bargaining options of the federal workers. It's evil and another stage in the stagnation of wages for the workforce while all expenses have skyrocketed since the early 1980s.

Trump has always been anti union, even in his personal life. Not a surprise.
