The audience then solemnly nodded their heads silently and rose to their feet to applaud, affirming Kearney as a brave, non-funny identifying comedian.

There was Pat.

Pat had a "significant other" named Chris.

Chris eventually left Pat; for Terry.

Yeah, but Pat obviously wasn't the right kind of non-binary, that being the kind that they can wave around like a cute little fashion accessory to show off how quirky and totally not like the other straights they are.

I actually thought she was kinda funny until she said she was non-binary. I don't have anything against nb folks, I just think the whole thing is silly, but yeah, as soon as I found out, she lost any funny I had first noticed.
