For anyone who doubts "Da Troopz" would do this in the [current year], please post a verified instance of a US military unit or any other executive, armed entity refusing an order to engage US citizens, ever.

Billy Mitchell, George Patton, Douglas MacArthur and Dwight Eisenhower had no trouble doing the executive's bidding. I don't see any records of deserters in their outfits, either.

They always use out-of-state units for domestic suppression. As in, the Oklahoma NG and California Highway Patrol disarming high-and-dry, law-abiding citizens of New Orleans. They even have a policy for using out-of-state troops, "promotes even-handed treatment and prevents favoritism".

The next time you see that Nat'l Guard billboard with "She lives five miles from here", you'll know better.
