Thiel's certainly not stupid, and he must realize that if you have bubbles like this forming everywhere, the common denominator (literally) is the currency. Ron Paul has been right on target for decades that the problem is the US dollar. As long as the forces of evil control the currency, there is no way for real wealth to be developed or stored outside of the grasp of our enemies. They control the currency; they control our business. Jockeying to be on the ground floor of a new currency? THAT is a big fish, the one the article refers to at the end.

The US Dollar was tied to precious metals until the 1970's when Richard Nixon decided to base it off of debt. That's why the USD, the Euro, the GBP and the Japanese Yen are losing value. Meanwhile the Rouble and the Yuan are increasing in value.

You can say what you want about this guy. He is a totally moronic and overly greedy master-asshat, trying to lead us all to Mordor in invisible shackles he manufactured. For sure.

But he also is a fucking genius in some ways. At least he understood, what Wahhabism is. Which I can respect.

That's correct. They can only do this because of corporate welfare and by bribing the gov't to pick winners and losers and protect the quasi-monopolies that dominate nearly every industry.
