I like Cruz's policies even though he seems like an asshole, but he totally f'd up when he left Texas during a crisis to go on vacation. If you have that much money, you can afford to cancel your vacation to stick around. Even if there's not that much he could have done, as the sitting U.S. Senator, being in Texas or even D.C. is where he should have been. I lost a lot of respect for him when that happened.
