I am serious, and I was agreeing with you.

Math is not racist, people are.

Decisions of school boards and governors are not necessarily related to one or two professors in Michigan.

The reassessment of school tests happens quite often, dating back dozens of years. If you know anything about this, you'd know that PJ Media has made the professor's concern about testing a political nothingburger.

Now if you want to insult me and bring up a different case, let's see what happened in Oregon:

"SB 744 gives us an opportunity to review our graduation requirements and make sure our assessments can truly assess all students’ learning,"

The attempt here is obviously help students who often fail high school because they fail tests that some in the school board consider too difficult for many of the students. Would this dumb-down the educational standards? Of course. Is this new? Certainly not. Happens frequently. Is this racism, to appeal to dumb people of color? Certainly not. It's an attempt to design tests that will be in line with what the schools can support. There are also dumb white people, BTW. Should the schools do a better job of teaching math. Yes. Are they failing at this? Yes. Why? Reduced funding for education, so that more money can support corporate handouts. Will it help students who often fail high school to give them the option of an easier test? Yes. Will that also dumb-down College entry? Not necessarily, for those colleges that require reasonable SAT and ACT scores for entry. Will it get the dumb kids into Community College or trade schools? Yes. They would avoid having to take the GED, and would start at college or a trade school with their easier HS test. Do these approaches benefit society? Yes, as more students remain in the educational systems, they will make more informed decisions, and will understand when a post on Saidit is punking them into divisive, negative, angry, hostile, illogical reasoning.

It sounded as if you were suggesting that this was an isolated incident that had no support besides two idiots.

Well, I always figured it's just the cost of discussion on the internet.

Over 50% of communication is nonverbal. So, while the words speak for themselves we're missing out on body language, facial expressions and tone of voice.

If there's anything the 'left' does very well, it's complain about everything. Of course academics - especially on the left of politics - want better academic standards, but also watch "conservative" state legislatures cut funds to education EVERY time there's a budget cut. Does the right wing value extra funding for secular education? Hell no. Will they approve extra tax dollars for charter schools that are teaching evangelist Christianity, supply-side Jesus, and bible classes? Certainly. Left wing groups want better education standards, not the continual decline in funding for education that's arranged by right-wing legislators who want to feather their own corporate nests. Sorry this is a long response. In short: I've seen the so-called leftists continually ask for better standards of education, better pay for teachers, after school programs, etc. etc. A well-educated voter will often vote for Democrats, because they want the 99% and the education system to improve.

More funding for schools does NOT result in better education. The majority of that money is misspent by administrators, while the teachers unions block any results based assessments of teachers.

There are a million opportunities to show how extra funding to a school increases standardized test scores. The only logical reason why that doesn't exist despite being in line with the propaganda of those in power is that those results don't exist.

Leftists absolutely do NOT want better standards, they want more money. That's it. They purposefully conflate more funding with "better education" even though that conflation is a complete lie, just so they can demand more money. After school programs is more overtime opportunities. Smaller class sizes means reduced work load.

Higher standards means reforming "no child left behind" which is effectively "no child is failed", when it should be "low achievers are forced into after school tutoring". Higher standards means standardized testing so the teachers biased grading is reduced. Higher standards means having special programs taught at an accelerated level for those who can keep up. Higher standards means school voucher programs that create competition in the education system that will lead to better schools.

If that were truly the intention then those policies would come with a system to measure the effectiveness and with provisions to end the funding if the desired results are not met. That never happens because only stupid leftist sheep think that is the intention. Those in charge clearly don't give a fuck if it works.

And this is the perfect example of "if it is a woke claim it must be true". There is zero evidence that it is the better school that leads to better results. There have been millions of kids who have been transferred to wealthier district schools and never has that been shown to work.

The only follow up on any kind of program like that which I ever heard of was on the early start program. Poor kids were put into special pre k and kindergarten programs funded by the government. The study found that there was a slight improvement over a control group, but by 8th or 12th grade ALL of the gains were wiped out. This was by FAR the most likely program to work because early development is far, far more important than anything else in adolescence.

Not in the slightest, and if you are serious about any interest in improving the educational system in the US, you'd not only avoid circular arguments (from 'early start' to 'gains were wiped out' to 'early development is far more important'), and would not insult me by referring to my comments as 'bullshit', and would appreciate that our tax dollars should help PAY MORE, NOT LESS for education. It's that simple. Arguments that money for education is wasted are completely ridiculous, even when you consider the potential for minor cases of fiduciary irresponsibility. if we want good educational systems, then the parents of the children should be their teachers, which means that the homosexual must be removed from the equation and he be removed as a teacher.

They also claimed that computers were racist but it boils down to the same old thing; white people are smarter than negros. When I was in High School and they started letting the black kids in the second thing we noticed about them was how dumb they were. The first thinig we noticed was the smell.

If kids engage and learn better if they have examples of people like them in the field they're studying, then it makes sense to have the curriculum mention people like them.

Why is there no study that compares black kids taught in woke schools with black kids taught in traditional schools? Because everyone knows that the results will show wokism to be a fraud, but the (((people))) in power support wokism for it's anti white propaganda.

If you want to fabricate black heroes literally no one has a problem with that, but don't do it by attacking actual historical heroes because they were white. Don't bastardize the entire education system to cater to only non white students. Don't indoctrinate kids with anti white themes, racism, and propaganda.

By denying racial discrepancies in intelligence you create a void to explain why blacks underperform. That void is needed and used to fabricate claims of white racism and persecution.

Those black kids who can't read, write, or do math will absolutely fail in college. They will fail at their jobs. They will fail in their personal lives. All that failure will be denied as a result of their incompetence because the statistics will now show that they graduate in comparable percentage to whites and that will be claimed as evidence that they are equally capable. Then they will offer up white racism as an explanation for it all. And with the power of the media and academia they will make that the dominant narrative.

And with that these people will spread racism against whites, hatred, fear, animosity, and self-righteous violence.
