I appreciate the sentiment and agree, but hundreds of millions is nothing compared to the trillions they've given out in the last few months. Complaining about 0.001% of the money that has been given out is just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic.

Trillions that will end in an inflationary crisis or mortgaged debt to unborn generations.

Hopefully, it raises awareness.

Rand is a Zionist and he was named rand after the Jew Ayan Rand.

Because right now we are in the middle of a Government Mandated Suicidal Lock-Down Event that is causing our economy to crater and our food-service industries to vanish like fog on a sunny day. 14 million people work in restaurants alone, and they are being stamped out like roaches by their own city Mayors. They very desperately need some fucking help, and the federal government of the united states of america just told them to go drop dead.

600 dollars isn't help. It's a sharp stick in the eye, followed by a belly laugh. Even something as piddly as a few million dollars would make a difference, but our elites are showing themselves to be arrogant, soulless fucktards, giving billions away to foreign nations while our own people lose their businesses, jobs, homes, families, and lives. People in America are committing suicide out of despair, but our government officials are cutting huge checks to people who aren't even slightly friendly to us.

The timing couldn't possibly be worse. When you are hanging on by the skin of your teeth, and some rich, fully-employed, un-endangered, good-buddy of big industry steps on your face without seeming to notice your mere existence, you never forget it. More than a few of these senators and congress-critters are going to be suddenly and shockingly disenfranchised come next term. It's going to be a political blood-bath of oceanic proportion.

well rand is against the $2000 checks because he is worried about the national debt. I find it hard to take seriously cuz he supported all this other shit for years. It being a pandemic means you should especially stop worrying about debt, because it's an emergency and helping regular americans is more important.

I think you need to do some research on Rand Paul. He has always been against excessive spending, even against his own political party.

Dafuq?

Are you blind, or just stupid?

The Pauls have been consistently talking about this for decades. Rand has pushed for balanced budgets and eliminating wasteful spending literally every year he's been in the senate.

Stupid. Got it.

Facts sure are inconvenient. They go away when you press the block button, for reals.

[–]zyxzevn 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Israel got their extra billions indeed.
And the military got some trillions to do more bombing.

They get a regular stimulus EVERY year under the guise of "military spending" while the impoverished parts of our own country are in shambles. This country is more backwards than my last car loan...
