Trump can still secure his legacy if he does this!!!!

In 2015 Trump said Snowden was a traitor that should be executed. Really doubt he's gonna pardon the guy.

He did say in a recent press conference that his administration was looking into pardoning him.

Oh come on Fed, you're trusting Trump to stand by his convictions?

What do you think would make him have a change of heart and start regarding whistleblowing as virtuous? The guy is used to being in charge, and he's done plenty of dirty deals behind the scenes. You think this guy would ever be fond of whistleblowers?

I misread, I thought you wrote he would pardon the guy. Was kinda drunk. That's a good point. I was thinking about it as Trump would never spend whatever political capital he has left to do that even if he felt it was right.

I have to do a post soon on how Snowjob, Assange and Tulsi are all limited hangouts soon.

In the new year, likely spring, I hope to start some crossover projects on WikiSpooks - including lots of lists and categorizations of notable people in alternative media and politics. In this way new info can simply be appended to the articles and instead of rehashing it over every time it comes around we can just point to the article.

Perhaps you can draft it with that in mind, either as the bones of an article, a section, or a refined draft. And maybe start a list of folks you'd like to see covered with articles on them or whatever. I have an old long list of "fascinating viewpoints" but many of them have drifted our of my interests/favour, some remain strong, and of course there are countless new ones. In addition to these lists in tables, we'll need to dev some ways to clearly and concisely categorize and notate them for people to cross reference, etc.

But this will be a late-winter or spring project, among several.

Good idea, but newsweek is propaganda trash

Wow that’d be huge.

I support this

Pardon them for what? What laws were broken?

They both released quite a few confidential documents. Typically sharing state secrets is considered treason. I'm sure you know this already Jason, and I feel like maybe I didn't set you up properly for whatever you were going to say next.

Or maybe you can work around it. Wow us, Jason!

p.s. I saw you said you were leaving saidit and I wish you wouldn't. I rather enjoy your contributions. :)

Assange as a journalist broke no laws.

I'm not sure Snowden did either after he tried to expose it to his superiors upon deaf ears.

Absent any fair and honest trials we may never know, as is intended - all while being tried and demonized in the media.

What the state does is treason and worse.

I appreciate your kind sentiment. I'm not leaving for good. I have something to do. My statement was a little fishing expedition and the feedback is heartwarming. It's hard to know if any of this makes any difference. Lacking metatags, I know my cross-posting can be annoying, but I figure building those topical subs is more important than some inconvenience. When I return later in the Winter or Spring with my project's first draft I also intend to build up some WikiSpooks articles based on many of SaidIts topical subs, among other things. SaidIt often seems chaotic, but we can mine it to present clear concepts in WikiSpooks. Also, I'm hoping that some bots can soon help deal with some of the posting so I can spend more time on the projects or in the comments.
