Why are you so interested in a life free of consequences? You have to expect people will hold your feet to the fire for being a sinner (whatever that sin is!)

To me, all this anti-Cancel Culture/moral outrage signaling amounts to a denial of a very important part of human nature.

It's a side of human nature (authoritarian collectivism) that affects roughly half the population to varying degrees, and which is the cause of all kinds of atrocities throughout history. I don't deny this part of human nature, I oppose it.
