It' insane to me that people who identify as democrats identify so hard that they are unable/unwilling to look at important things like his penning the Patriot Act, his stance on war, women, etc. Not to mention his outright lies about his education and experience. Stockholm Syndrome is an odd thing...

Totally agree. It’s because the banks started investing in the Dems during the 90s because of a market manipulation scandal the hardly anyone got to hear about. After that, all corporate media except Fox News became a mockingbird for the Dems on behalf of the banks. It created the illusion of an independent media which convinced people that it must be reliable. The propaganda phrase ‘reality has a liberal bias’ sums up that period of time.
