Look, Americans pay sky-high prices for healthcare because it subsidizes medical advances that the entire rest of the world benefits from. Let's stop pretending that any Democrat gives a shit about the deplorables. They don't. They hate our guts and wish us harm.

That's a part of it. But really the US doesn't make that many more developments than other developed countries, does it? I think it's more about the pharma companies just taking ridiculous profits, more than anything. Like you said, they don't care about people, just profits

Funny they do us this favor! for free and for the public good! and all that? Please, we publicly fund that research and let them steal the patent an then we set them to be in control, for the public good, for how long they take to allow real generics.
