Gotta give Comrade Bernie credit. The problem is price fixing at the healthcare and insurance levels. Only way any kind of healthcare for all plan to work would be to tackle those issues first.

Well if that system had competition, through a national healthcare service, then the private sector might be forced to lower its prices to continue being able to compete. The current health insurance industry is currently a basically a monopoly, where you are legally required to participate, which is why the prices are so high.

Same reason college costs so much. You "have" to do it this one way, so it costs an insane amount because the gatekeepers control the only gate through.

if bernie were serious, he would say, 'does the dnc have the courage to destroy the uber corrupt pharmaceutical and healthcare industry'.. !!! obviously the answer is 'no way in hell' as this is how most of their "political funding" is "financed"!!! At this time the only way to improve the situation is a complete overthrow of the "american government"... heads literally need to roll!!!

bAbes, what about all the medicines that are ignored because they are unpatentable or are much more successful than a "competing medicine"?!.... Current "corporate medicine" is 99% bogus fraud, we cant afford to monkey around in that shit anymore!!!

Feel the Bern! I am so disgusted that the Dems did to Bernie what Romney did to Ron Paul. I voted for Ron Paul anyway (wrote him in) and I may vote for Bernie the same way. Has any effort been made at all by a country with universal health care to change theirs to the US model? What a joke, eh?

I am waiting for the DNC again to box out Bernie, him again to do nothing about it, and then some semi-popular status quo character rises to the top, like Warren.

Bernie isn't a Democrat. He's a Socialist. The DNC correctly reacted to this outsider's attempt to seize their rightful property, their nomination, and rigged it against him. They then argued in court - and won - claiming they were a private company that did not have to respect the results of any vote.

The Republicans did not secure their nomination against the outsider (Trump was a pro-abortion Democrat for ages) and they paid the price.

Between this and Gabbard saying "regime change war" like 30 times, not a bad debate. And Warren getting directly called out repeatedly because she can't admit taxes will go up with Medicare for all.

Please, we publicly fund that research and let them steal the patent an then we set them to be in control, for the public good, for how long they take to allow real generics. Wonder what takes more guts, a group standing up to those industries or a person standing up to the DNC when the presidential nomination is taken from you? Guess we will never know.

The group standing up to the industries is driven by the will of the group. Being cheated out of the nomination was not the will of the man. He let me down when he threw in the towel, ngl.
