Given the amount of money they waste on producing lowest common denominator trash if be happy if movie companies went out of business. One of the arguments for intellectual monopoly is that, 'without IP, why would anyone produce XYZ?!" Even if this were an accurate prediction, which I don't think it is, I haven't watched a major film or Netflix series in something like ten years.
