Looks great, also looks like it's very easy to take care of, no disc brakes means easier brake tightening and replacement.

I have a basket that I attached to my rear letter carrier with big plastic zip ties, makes your back sweat about 0 now that the bag is in the basket, maybe get such attachment? More comfort.

I have panniers and rack on my old bike, I use it for market runs and such. My trek fx 2 disk had disc brakes, never had issues other than some one stealing it.

As long as it hauls, it ought to be good.

My only problem with disc brakes is that they're more of a hassle to tune and replace, more parts to fine-tune and disassemble.

I never had issues with my trek fx 2, I di have lots of problems with this crap bike. Mechanical disk brakes are worthless so stay away from them.

You can't go wrong with Trek. It's got a good derailleur, cantilever brakes and no visible rust. It looks like it might be 20 years old but a good, well-maintained bike can last a lifetime. Just a little tune-up and you're good to go!

Best thing about the bike is the dude did a full tune up, all I had to do was put one of my saddles on it. Stock was no good.

Put some drop bars on it.

I think I would have to replace the derailers and cables if I did that.
