I thought two dollar bills are worth more than $2

The star series and ones from before the 1920s are worth more than face value, but otherwise they aren't valuable. The $2 is still printed today and they're rarely used so they tend to stay in circulation a long time.

I guess you collect bills.

I like precious metals, numistatics are a part of that, and bills only tangentially. I do have a million Bolivar note for the hell of it, but this $2 bill is just something my Uncle gave me years ago. I keep it in my wallet because having no money in your wallet is bad luck.
The $2 bill thing came up because the NIH just sent out a bunch of surveys with $2 bills, the bonus just for opening it, and another $8 after finishing it. The new one is green stamped. Red looks classier.
