Ok, so I had to look some of this up. There's a difference between the age of majority, and age where you can be tried legally as an adult in a court of law. In Georgia, for example, you're seen as an adult as far as getting into legal trouble but you're not considered an adult if you're trying to access death benefits open at adulthood. Consent laws differ quite a bit in the US. I've made the point pretty clear that I don't personally see someone as an adult until they're 18, and honestly still not fully developmentally capable of great decision making til after.

I'm not advocating for the legalization of adult sex with minors at all. If you would have paid attention to all the other shit that I wrote instead of just plucking what you thought was convenient to post here in an attempt to make me look like shit, you would have seen that. Regarding the Quran, I would like to remind you that I can't control things that happen in shitty sand nations with draconic laws, especially when I'm not even considered capable of making my own decisions there. I don't approve of it, and that wins me a net gain of having an opinion.. Making changes in places like that, or really anywhere require someone with a hell of a lot more clout than I'm capable of. Germany is part of Western Civilization, and I have higher standards for those.

Regarding AmericanMuskrat, he claims to have not been hurt, and while I don't approve of his situation I wasn't going to press him further about it. What the fuck is anyone going to do about something that happened more than 15 years ago if he didn't press charges? Here's a list of state Statute of Limitations for statutory rape if he decides to, but he seemed pretty clear on his stance.

Bottom line: what I want or view to be right or wrong does not coincide with what is legal, that doesn't mean that I can't bitch about it.
