„I‘m real religious,“ that’s the first of many problems.

"I'm real religious, so I think we're alone right now. I don't think there's other planets and other stuff like that."

What does he mean he's "real religious"? I didn't see any mention of the Lord in the article.

Jesus - his birth on earth was preceded by a star that came and stood over the location where he was born. If someone is religious in the context of believing that Jesus is the Lord who died for all mankind, then that same person should believe in stars.

I guess he just watched a couple of videos on YouTube and didn't think about all this deeply. But to be serious for a moment I do think the existence of aliens would create some problems for religions, I mean, how would they know about Jesus in some other star system?

I googled for this once and found a Wikipedia article with some links, if you are interested:

The term "exotheology" was coined in the 1960s or early 1970s for the examination of theological issues as they pertain to extraterrestrial intelligence. It is primarily concerned with either conjecture about possible theological beliefs that extraterrestrials might have, or how our own theologies would be influenced by evidence of and/or interaction with extraterrestrials.

UPD Also good link from "see also" section:

If someone believes god created everything, and then aliens appear, wouldn't they also believe god created aliens?

God made angels and a third of them rebelled against him. What do you think they would rather you call them? Aliens or the enemies of God?

he just watched a couple of videos on YouTube

Many people have spent far more time watching videos on YouTube than studying and listening to God's word. They will easily fall for the great deception because they are willingly ignorant of the truth. The world has been programmed to believe a lie since childhood.

the existence of aliens would create some problems for religions

There are beings living all over the universe. But they will never come from another star to ours to save the earth. God would have told us if they were a part of his plan of salvation, but they are not. What God did tell us is that there was war in heaven. A third of the angels fell with God's adversary and were cast down to the earth. The devil also was cast down. Jesus said he saw Satan fall from heaven.

The enemy of mankind does not want the world to know the truth and realize they belong to God's adversary. If people knew they could invoke the most powerful name (JESUS) and be saved, the "aliens" would tremble in fear. When enough people will forfeit their faith in the Lord God, then the "aliens" will have a safer time emerging from the shadows where they have been hiding. Notice how they come when faith is at an all-time low.

He either believes the flat earth shills on YouTube or he's in on it himself. The elites have some people say stupid shit on purpose, so that regular people think conspiracy theories are stupid and they won't want to be like them. You don't want to be like this low iq black football player do you? Or you don't want to be like kyrie Irving or Kanye west do you? They're woke.

Flat earth stuff is a trap, really they don't want you questioning the moon landing, or whatever tech the military has out in space. You're crazy if you suggest satellites can shoot lasers! That's flat earth talk! You probably don't trust covid vaccines too! Also crazy! There are a lot of YouTubers talking flat earth. But ones talking about legit theories get banned.

This one might also be trying to make religion look bad. Even though there's nothing about Christianity that denies space exists.
