I could see this really happening at some point. Android phones already removed the "undo" feature. And deleting the backspace key is something that would be easy to justify using the sophistry tactics programmer scum already use. If anything the user did at all contributes to the problem in the smallest way, programmer will jump on it and blame the user.

Imagine you make a ticket on their online system saying there is no backspace key. They ask you what you need the backspace key for. And then after you say it is because you want to correct a typo, they close the ticket because you admitted the problem was due to user error and not due to their software.
