I watched a pretty in depth video about it the other night. Self-defense is when you give your attacker a chance to flee (if distance or non-threat presents itself)*. The victim had like 14 stabs to the back. It happened at the victim's house at 4am.

Plus this motherfucker was burning down churches to be edgy.

If some bastard tried to kill me and I had to fight him in self-defense, I would keep stabbing him until I was sure he was dead. This is self-defense because if he lives, he can try to kill me again. And of course I have no confidence in the government "justice" system.

totally fair. the victim was outside trying to run away in his underwear after an earlier indoors altercation. he was chased down and re-attacked. neither were saints, but I don't buy self defense. but then again I was shitfaced watching at 3am.

I don't think these background factors, like knowing someone wants to kill you, changes the self-defense claim. Still not self-defense. I'd be happy to call it manslaughter or murder 3/passion murder though... so maybe I shouldn't be calling him a murderer.

But he still played with fire on purpose by showing up at victim's house uninvited at 4am. This whole video is kinda whiny and disturbing, not a bit of victim empathy.

He was certainly guilty of bad judgement. But anyway, whatever your opinion of this case, his videos in the last few years show that he is one of a handful of reasonable people in a world of 8 billion pieces of human shit.

I'll hear him out. I was a real piece of shit at 20 years old myself. But unlike Vlad I'm happy to admit that shit and take responsibility for my actions.
