I got a $400 ticket for this 6 months ago and I still get angry about this whenever I think about it. Anyone who thinks this law has any value at all is without exception a retarded moron. This is a stupid law in every way possible, that encourages people to shift their focus away from the obstacle that is ahead of them. Anyone who doesn't burn with hatred for this useless and dangerous law is a dumbass.

There's no value in yielding to ambulances? I got a $500+ red light ticket once. Fuck all of the state.

There is only value if they are moving. There is value in moving out of the way of a moving ambulance or police car so that they can get to where they need to go unhindered by traffic. This is not the move over law. The move over law is about forcing drivers to change lanes in response to a STOPPED emergency vehicle, for "safety reasons". This is stupid because the stopped vehicle is to the front right, and if you make people change lanes you are making them instead focus on the rear left since now they have to check for oncoming traffic. So this law whose purpose is safety actually undermines safety.

Is this why truckers always move to the fast lane, even taking risks sometimes, to avoid passing stopped vehicles on the shoulder? That shit drives me crazy.
