Western culture hates the family so any action taken to destroy it is seen as a virtue. Snitching on your own parents, divorcing your husband because you deserve better, provoking Child Protection Services to take children away from parents deemed to have bad judgement - people are cheered on and celebrated as heroes for doing these things.
