This will only piss people off. They will go elsewhere during peak hours when most of the business occurs. This is a boon for the competition.

People may go to Wendy’s during off hours to get a discount. So much of Wendy’s business will only sell at a discount during low traffic. Not a winning “combo.” (Want to large size that?)

Yeah seems a generally terrible idea to me. Might be profitable at some locations with little repeat business but your average schmuck is gonna go in be like "damn the frosty went up" and just go find something cheaper.

Absolutely. No one is going to stand in line knowing that the line means they are going to get gouged. It is already a punishment to have to deal with the poor service and long wait during high traffic times. People are not going to come back later because they are there at that time because that is the time they have to eat. They will switch their routine and never come back again, even after the management realizes they fucked up and stop gouging.
