This is bad.

We are now moving from older children not being allowed out on their own and being locked inside 24/7 to teens being in that situation.

Remember that only 50 years ago 6 year olds were considered old enough to walk themselves to school and back and also be out playing all day.

As children aren't going though the same rights of passage and taking on the responsibilities which they used to they are being delayed in their emotional maturity. 7 year old kids are having tantrums like toddlers and 20 year olds are acting out like teenagers.

Just looked it up, my primary school was 1.8km (~1 mile) 24 minute walk. Did that from grade 3-5 so 8 -10 years old. Jr High (grade 6 - 9) was 2.3km at around 35 min walk.

Did it every school day rain/shine or snow.

I was travelling all over the city with friends or by myself on transit by age 11-12.

Meanwhile my 11 years old nephew never rode a bus by himself in his life. He only travels by a car with mommy or daddy. :( Fucking embarrasing.

I grew up like that, although school wasn't in walking distance, we were allowed out all day as soon as we could safely cross the street.

In my country parents are still obliged to bring and pick up 6 years old from school, tho.

But I agree. I have 11 years old nephew and he can't do shit by himself, like literally. Mommy must help him with everything, for example he never done any homework or read book by himself in his life, his mom must still read out loud books to him, or despite his age, he still can't tie his own shoes or cut the food with the table knife. And yeah, he still have temper tantrums like some 3 years old if you refuse to buy him a toy or snack in the shop. A fucking 11 years old. :/

I'm honestly worried about him.

They are trying to ban niglets from the mall.

When I was 10 my brothers and I had 10 speed bikes and a German Shepherd Dog named Maggie. Maggie was named after Maggie Evans, a character on the 1960's TV show Dark Shadows. We went everywhere and found and explored everything on our turf.

The only thing I can see to support this is reducing shoplifting. We had a local discount store here and they tried banning kids due to their proxy to a Jr. high school.

Even with mountains of evidence like security footage and police reports showing it was a group of kids from this school shoplifting, the courts ruled you could not ban someone based on age as it was discrimination.

After some outrage from the local community they were aloud to ban them without an adult during school hours...

Good job, niggers!

I have a better idea. Pay some fucking money you greedy misers and hire a damned security guard or mall cop.

If anyone steals anything, throw them in jail for 6 months.

Problem solved.

That kinda sucks.

Shopping malls used to be my main asylum when I ran away from the classes, lol or favorite place to hang out with my friends.

I cannot imagine being banned from malls in my teenage years, I would be so despaired.

Me and my friends used to play mall tag when we were like 12-13, hiding and chasing each other around the mall. That was fun. But now because of shootings by blacks they ruin it for everyone. They need to go back to putting trash in prison so they're not free to commit crimes.
