That seems to be great news, but we'd want to know how they did it in order to understand it.
Part of this success was due to a renegotiation of debt payments to the IMF, which is owed $44 billion.
Looking at only the numbers, the surplus is US $589 million.
Expenditures in 2023 were US $188.6 billion.
The surplus is approximately 320th of the expenditures last year, and this year expenditures are expected to rise to US $ 384 billion.
But hopefully Argentina's economy will improve. It's previously one of the wealthier South American countries, and can return to that success with the appropriate political support.
