I've been using a standalone RO filter and storing the water in glass. Some components and several of the membranes are plastic unfortunately but I figure at least it isn't being stored in it for any length of time.

Nice that that exists. When I was a kid, I remember the 5 gallon water bottles going from glass to plastic.
