Look at presented evidence, and possible counter evidence.
Words and feelings are not related to truth.

News media and "experts" often push certain political narratives.
It is what they get money for.

And check minority reports. From people that are under attack for their reporting.
Or independent witnesses or real experts that were ignored. They are usually censored.

Fact-checkers and wikipedia are completely compromised. And will present you a narrative instead of facts.

Fact-checkers are often good. It depends on the fact checker.

Wikipedia rapidly collates the information that's being reported. It's good to get all the angles on a developing situation. Those angles will be as biased when Wikipedia collates them as anyone else.

Mind blown

You know that some news media are more reliable than other news media and that you can use the various news media to corroborate some of their points. For example, for Palestine news, Al Jazeera is much more reliable than pro-Israel NYT.

Yes, especially if these resources can be corrobrated.

Absolutely not. The provide helpful information and note their sources. They are to be used in conjunction with other reliable resources. Critiques of them are mainly from those who are spreading disinformation and do not want you to see corroborated information on those sites.

My favorite is those headlines where they say something "may" happen, like the summer offensive "may" be the turnaround moment the Ukrainians need. This just means it equally may not be the case, and the author is just squatting down to squeeze out some column inches so he/she can get paid this week.

Get both sides of the story. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

Excellent points, which Saiditors will love to read. Before Saiditors used Twitter, memes, and 9gag for so many posts, they also used these websites: https://saidit.net/s/shitpostnews

It's actually pretty easy.

Is your dick wet? Then everything you're reading is correct.

Is your dick bone-dry? Then you have fallen prey to bad information.

trying to link to political positions (ie gun grabbing spew 2 seconds after such events) indicates an agenda to warp everything to a purpose other than Journalism
