At this point the polls are pretty grim not only for the Liberal party but Trudeau personally.

When you are in a position where you know the end is coming it's time to start handing out favors to your friends and cronies. You don't care about the consequences so anything goes. I think he is planning for the future and who will owe him one.

The idea of putting people on a national registry because they had consensual sex with a seventeen year old is, frankly, peak clown world.

It seems the reason they voted against it is that it conflates "pedophiles" with "people who broke age-of-consent laws" as though they were the same thing, when in fact they have nothing to do with one another.

Just fucking imagine a guy having to go door to door telling armed lunatics he's a pedo, because back when he was a high school senior he fucked a sophomore.
