This is just government failure, but I think the government had their chance and the law should change. In fact, if you find a police officer breaking the law in any way, that should allow you to kill the police officer on the spot, just to provide a little bit of incentive for them to actually obey the law themselves.

I don't agree with your method, because I would be in favor of just making daily announcements in the streets for a week or so explaining that theft will result in instant death with automated machine guns installed everywhere that during such situations will absolutely slaughter everyone wearing a hoodie (the rest can be identified and picked up later). AFAIK, you are not allowed to wear full face masks, but hoodies are fine? Who makes up that shit? Only criminals wear hoodies. In winter time hoodies can be useful, but when it's that cold, nobody is going to attack anyone.

So, somehow our great law enforcement and politicians can't just solve crime. I just don't believe for a second they even want to.
