I don't disagree, but to be fair he's talking Bill Gates level one percent. I know a dude who on paper could be in the 1 percent. He makes $700,000 a year. Owns a massive construction company. He will actually be someone that shoots at the military if need be, and I mean actually do it, not talk shit. His money has done nothing to change his anti-govt, anti-elite ideals. So yeah, I hear ya.

There are only 756 American billionaires alive. Bill Gates isn't just top 10,000; he's the sixth-richest American and seventh-richest person in the entire world.

Your dude is in the 1 percent by income, which starts at $653,000. So, there you go. You know a one percenter. Not just on paper: that's what a one percenter is.

I know a real estate guy really well who's definitely in the top 10,000 - he's worth a bit over a half-bil. He's, you know, a nerd. He's pretty much like all the other nerds I've met. He has a lot of weird ideas, his lifestyle is bizarre, he hates that he's aging. And he's not trying to put a boot on anybody's neck. Instead he's buying weird toys and investing heavily in education and science companies. He's not the bad guy.
