Seems Erin can't fucking read. Nowhere in this legislation does it say "detransition," it just limits the age to 26. I think this is stupid, let idiots chop themselves up if they're 18+. If you're too dumb to recognize how stupid that is, be my guest. Just don't expect me to pay for it, deny science/biology, dictate language, or try and get me fired because I won't play your stupid games.

There isn't a grandfather clause for people who are currently taking hormones to still be allowed them, so effectively people 25 and under who are currently on cross gender hormones would be detransitioned.

In effect, but it doesn't say they will be forced to transition. There are other options for treatment. Personally the arbitrary 26 is just stupid. 18 is fine. Nothing wrong with waiting until someone is an adult to make those life-changing decisions. Certainly beats the insane puberty blockers and surgery for children trend in other states.

We're in total agreement here, although if you're of the mindset you need wrong gender hormones this definitely causes issues. I get why they're mad, and I also think if they're 18 they can fuck up their life however they want, the thing is, if they really want to have a shot of ever passing as female, they can't experience male puberty -- and those people are too young to make that call.

Definitely in agreement. This idiot is just being a Chicken Little. What are there, 3 trans people in Oklahoma?

That’s still three too many.

Wouldn't matter if there were 300,000.

This is a good example of why it's important to not allow a villain to lead you to a second location.

This "problem" of how to accommodate teens who are currently on HRT isn't a problem. Their HRT prescriptions simply stop. Ceasing the transing of kids just means there is no more transing of kids. This "problem" of it being too late at the age of majority to reverse puberty is not a problem. Puberty is not a disease. It doesn't need to be reversed, much less stalled. There is no essential right to be mistaken for or to superficially resemble the opposite sex which needs to be balanced with age of consent or unemancipated minor status.

All of that nonsense exists at the "second location" the villain has led you to.

Damn. You're right.

26 is the actual biological age at which the brain is fully matured.

Good.

It's good children won't be able to get this stuff, although I'm not really a big fan of the government deciding what substances people can and can't take.
