I worked with a chinese engineer. I asked him why China didn't make planes when they made everything else. He said if we make planes I'll never fly one.

I hope Taiwan makes them pay dearly when China invades. I wonder if we have nukes there or can get them there in time, do another Cuba Missile Crisis. Not sure that's a great idea but we might be able to really make it hurt to take Taiwan and possibly escape retaliation.

If there is a war between China and Taiwan, then hopefully it will be a conventional war. It is not worth escalating to the nuclear threshold.

As of 2016, there have been 2,624 nuclear explosions throughout history. A few more won't end the world. Just too horrific to use? Nagasaki and Hiroshima killed a combined 226,000 people. We killed more people in the last two conventional wars. This will minimize future casualties if it works.

China wants to rule the world. The US does a shitty job of running things and that's an understatement, but I don't think China would be better. They're the most murderous people in history.

I say we give Taiwan a dozen nukes and they can do with them what they want.

Still trying to figure out what benefit, having diplomatic relations with China over Taiwan.

That sure looks like an F-16 except for the extra person behind.
