It was a real problem before. The article said people were in NY jail for 2 years, corona hasn't been here 2 years. This is why bail reform is really important. People sit for years in jail while they're technically innocent because they can't afford bail. It's a pointless waste of resources on all sides for non-violent offenders.
How long are people going to rot now? An extra 3-5 years?
