I would argue it's not hypocrisy and simply McConnell was lying back when he used the election as an excuse.

Again, I'm not saying it's not wrong but it was very clear McConnell was just lying last time and was not hearing the appointee out of political power move. That's why I don't really view it as "hypocritical", rather than he was just flat up lying before.

If you believed McConnell at his word about "giving the people a voice in choosing the supreme court appointee" than you're just a child. I don't know what else to say.

I believe in trying to hold politicians accountable for their word, and voting them out via democratic process if they underperform. You've downgraded him from a hypocrite to a lying piece of shit. I daresay he's unsalvageable at this point.
