I didn't even graduate German army. Props are hers.

I did only some education an then slipped physical exams easily after i led a company.

I don't advise her to fuck with the big guns guys though.

They tend to stay invisible.

Excellent tactical military stories are told only in these units, i've been told when they aren't sitting on their asses waiting for some army movement to happen.

Well, I managed to fail out of that course. In 1985

Five years ago today, the first women graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School at Fort Benning.

It marked a significant moment in the gender integration of the Army.

Ranger School is arguably the toughest course the U.S. Army offers. It tests mental and physical toughness — in a challenging environment that deprives soldiers of food and sleep.

On August 21, 2015. Capt. Kristen Griest and Capt. Shaye Haver were the first women to graduate from Ranger School.

Five years later, Griest and Haver are still in the Army, assigned to units in the Washington D.C. area.

This week they did exclusive interviews with News 3 and reflected on the Ranger School experience.

For the life of me I'm always gobsmacked by how the military of most western nations have allowed themselves to be politicized into marginal field effectiveness.

You mean as opposed to armies that got political officers & party meetings? In any case, make sure your son signs up so your daughter will not need to fill his spot in the ranks.

American military officers are political officers and have been since the end of the civil war.

I see you sure know a lot.

Not really. I forgot George Washington attended continental congressional meetings in his military uniform, so American military officers have been political officers from the start.

why does it matter if the graduate was a woman ( F I V E Y E A R S A G O ) ?
if they 'can do anything a man can do' why did it take so long?
or are we not equal after all?
and if we are, then ... why is this news?
headline might as well read, "Every Year Since Forever, Men Graduate from U.S. Army Ranger School."
am I wrong?
good on ya, ladies. Lady. Five years ago.
