It's actually about political status. Explicitly. And that's how the courts handle it.

US Citizenship is feudal law. Literally. The feudal system is the only system of law that assigns a political status at birth based on geographical location. As in anchor babies.. That's feudal law.

The system of feudal law has over 1000 years of legal precedent, and works very well for those who understand it.

According to feudal law, a serf was tied to the land, and transferable by deed (property deed).

In the same way, regardless of where a US citizen moves in the world, that person will still owe the US govt an income tax. Because the US citizen is feudal property of the State. A feudal subject.

Free persons don't owe tax on their income.

Citizens are serfs, and nationals are free.

A national who isn't a citizen is relabeled a "non resident alien" in the federal IRS code (CFR title 26).

This label fits, because nationals who aren't US citizens are non-resident to the residency clause of the 14th amendment, and alien to the jurisdiction of the US federal govt.

So... that's why a national who isn't a citizen is labeled a nonresident alien in the tax code. This specific label is only used in the IRS code.

And nonresident aliens only pay two small portions of the income tax, because they are constitutionality valid taxes.

The United States of America is the entire country. The "United States" is a political subdivision of the "United States of America"; it's the Federal govt.

Note: The notion of renouncing "citizenship" is a misnomer, and I'm addressing the legal specifics; the facts of law. A person renounces their nationality, or allegiance to the land.

Imagine if they documented explicitly in the law that nationals didn't pay income tax.
Citizens would move mountains to become one.

Anyway, Citizenship is literally voluntary servitude, because the 13th outlawed involuntary servitude.

Everything is voluntary, and you can easily volunteer out.

The IRS admits that income taxes are voluntary, but they never tell you how to volunteer out.

The history of civil rights and political status is complex, and it has evolved significantly over time.

Civil rights, for civil law.

The civil war wasn't a civil war, it was a war of succession.

However, it's somewhat true, but in a deceptive sense. The civil war was fought to bring in the civil law, and enslave the free persons of America 100 years later.

It was a civil law war to eliminate the American common law, and the constitution is common law.

Nationals have natural rights, and therefore access to the American common law.

The American common law, is the law of the land. God's people have God-given Rights, and constitutional protections of those Rights.
This is how it works.

This is how the law actually works: a person owes allegiance to the entity who grants that person rights..
If you receive rights from an entity, then you owe the entity it's corresponding duties.

If you are a Duke ruled by a king, then he grants you rights as as subject. You then owe him duties, taxes, soldiers, etc.

If you are a serf, then the Lord of the manor grants you rights, and you owe him duties, etc.

As a national, I receive my Rights from God, and therefore I owe God my duties. God does not require an income tax of me, unless I renounce my nationality (allegiance) to Him and His land.

I owe allegiance to God, and the land of nature's God. That's why according to the INA "a national owes allegiance to a state." Small s state. As in the land, and not any State's govt.
This is explicitly how allegiance is defined for a national in the INA.

Note that I'm citing the Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA). It's part of the organic statutes at large, which is constitutionally valid law.
Ratified by both houses, and signed by the president. Fully constitutional.

US citizens owe their allegiance to the United States federal government, and they get their rights from the same.
This fact of law is a matter of definition per the INA.

Citizens are tied to the land, and transferable by deed, and owe income taxes to the US govt regardless of where they reside in the planet.

I'm not talking about trim on flags, or judges robes, or any similar bullshit.

This is law that is active on the books.
