My understanding of the term?

It's dismantling every aspect of your society in a futile attempt to make everyone "equal," and unquestioningly handing money and power to people who smile and (falsely) promise to do exactly that once they have your support.

It's demanding safe spaces and policed opinions against anyone who doesn't look, act, and think like you instead of just being an adult and accepting that people are different.

It's trying to strip people of their right to have leaders and policies of their choosing by declaring those leaders to be "fascists" and those policies to be "racist" on the grounds that they're not what you, personally, want.

It's looking at the nasty aspects the world, both current and historical, and deciding that it's all the fault of just one race or nation while blatantly ignoring every single piece of evidence that shows otherwise.

It's loudly shrieking condemnation about one culture "appropriating" things from another, but remaining pointedly silent when the first culture has its own elements changed to cater the rest because that's "fairness" and "representation."

It's the most disgusting sort of paternalism and apologism towards minorities, excusing their behavior in every way on the grounds that they're only acting out because "the system" never gave them a "fair" chance at being better. It's also expecting people to smile and accept any outrages they suffer in the course of this acting out because that's the only way to (eventually) make things "equal."
