Yeah that's been the state of the coof situation for nearly a year at least but that didn't stop the news from fearmongering the whole time and demanding lockdowns. How is it even possible for you to not realize the manipulation at this point

I've not been in favor of lockdowns. I've been in favor of the other restructions, however, to reduce the spread of the virus while people have an opportunity to develop immunity with the help of vaccines. The virus still spreads, though in many cases via a weaker variand - omicron. That variant is relatively recent. Some of the evidence is here: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
