I think that was George Carlin. What happened yesterday? Everybody's getting ready for the holidays I guess. Now that Voat is closing we may be seeing some words that have never been used on saiddit before. I wonder about the real story there.

It's been misattributed to many, including Emma Goldman, Mark Twain, etc.

I didn't notice anything yesterday. But I'm rarely up on all the latest nor the pulse.

New words? Unlikely. New contexts with new culture? Perhaps.

Ya someone pointed out they had lots of crypto, yet said they're closing for financial reasons - meanwhile they didn't bother asking for donations. Very sketchy.

My vote has never mattered in the glorious Republic of Texas, since we're a red state and I was a liberal. Even now I'd say I'm a liberal leaning moderate. We passed on expanded Medicaid, just to spite Obama as far as I can tell, cut school lunch funding for low income families, protected shitty doctors from getting sued (now we're a haven for them), thumbed our nose at potential billions in not only marijuana but cbd too! Just off the top of my head.

We have some of the friendliest people I've ever met but our legislators seem rather uncaring towards the common man.

edit: I was rereading this and wanted to clarify that while cbd is legal in Texas to sell, it is illegal to grow. That's huge money right now and Texas is a very fertile state with a lot of farm land.
