How is Ruqqus doing it? I saw their recent policy on violence and it seemed to just match the legal standard

There was an obvious intent to "not become like VOAT" that came out if you used words like nigger in comments. VOAT may not be perfect but I'll take actual freedom of speech any day.

That was a few weeks ago and I don't go there (Ruqqus) much now so it may have changed, I don't know.

Yeah the downvote system definitely limits new users and people who go against the hivemind. It literally prevents the from voting or posting often. They called it the "founders effect" but in reality it just created a system that was easy for one sub-culture to hijack

Tums, Voat does not have freedom of speech. It's the reverse of reddit, yes, but it all leads to the same result. Because of how Voat's system is it creates power users, and rabid groups suppressing what, and who they don't like.
