It cracks me up everytime I see the immigration map.

Look at the huge land borders with the other Eastern European counties. Yet everyone wants to go to Poland.

Over 3 times as many people will risk trying to get to other countries via the sea than will willingly go to Romania.

Yes - though arguably - Poland has better resources with which to look after Ukrainians and to send on flights abroad than do Maldovans, Romanians, Hungarians, and Slovakians . The EU made Poland much wealthier than some neighbors, having received tens of billions from the EU, so much that many Polish have moved back to Poland from their other EU homes. For the next 6 years, Poland will receive 140 billion in EU support, and pay back only 40 billion. source So - yeah Ukrainians can rely on Poland. Not that I have an argument against your argument, however.
