What exactly defines the value of Bitcoin? Because everything I read states that unlike silver or oil, Bitcoin has no inherent value at all. It is a currency based on a computers ability to solve a math problem and as such, would seem to be the modern-day equivalent to the glass beads Europeans screwed the Indians over with.
Can someone explain where it's value comes from?

And that is the reason why I have no Bitcoin or the alternative coins. Gold and Silver are the way to go. I hope someone else can answer your question.
