I am pretty sure the so-called "theatre experience" was dying long before the Wuhan Flu stated ravaging China. I can't even remember the last movie I saw in the theatre, but I do remember the assholes checking their phone every five minutes, talking loudly during the film and walking out feeling that I was in no hurry for a repeat performance. I'd much rather watch a movie on a home theatre system in the comfort of my own living room, with my own drinks and snacks without the ignorant assholes ruining the experience for me.

What exactly defines the value of Bitcoin? Because everything I read states that unlike silver or oil, Bitcoin has no inherent value at all. It is a currency based on a computers ability to solve a math problem and as such, would seem to be the modern-day equivalent to the glass beads Europeans screwed the Indians over with.

Funding infrastructure projects, whether they be 5G, power plants or upgrades to existing infrastructure, is often done during times of financial crisis to keep people working and the economy moving. It also ensures that they are in place so when the economy does bounce back, they are in place to allow even further growth.

This was done in the 1930's when the U.S. built the Hoover Dam and the Manhattan skyline (ESB, Chrysler Building, etc). It was also done during the 2008 meltdown. My employer build one of its largest data centers during that time exactly for the reasons stated above.

I am surprised I have to tell you this.

So ask yourself, why would a Top 10 Fortune 500 CEO with a solid history of beating the markets want to trade in a gig where he is pulling seven figures a year to put up with all the headaches of running a country for a measly $400,000? Now apply that same context to trying to subjugate the entire world to tyrannical control, and the One World Government conspiracy nonsense falls apart in short order.

The rich will continue to get rich because we make them that way. Additionally, a population who is preoccupied "chasing cars and clothes" is a fucking lot easier to control than one that has been displaced with nothing but time on their hands.

However, if a cure were found tomorrow, we'd see a rise in the markets unlike anything since the Roaring Twenties. It should also be mentioned that this is nothing like 2008. In 2008, the entire worldwide financial system ground to a halt because not a single financial institution would accept asset-backed commercial debt (ABCP) as collateral out of fear it could contain worthless sub-prime mortgages. As a result, many companies that use ABCP as collateral to continue operations could not find money to run their businesses. They went under and did not return. This is why the slow climb out of the 2008 disaster was known as the "jobless recovery."

Today, we see a shutdown of commerce while people stay home as governments try to contain the virus. However, said governments are taking measures to ensure companies do not become insolvent while they wait for either a cure or the outbreak to go into seasonal remission.

As such, this is not 2008 nor is it anything like 2008. The fundamentals affecting the financial markets are completely different. For the IMF to claim otherwise is patently ridiculous.
