The last couple generations have been indoctrinated into thinking free-trade, ie Capitalist Systems, are inherently a bad thing. They naively think their corrupt politicians should hold their purse for them, to ensure their bills are paid. They are out of touch with reality, where free-trade is a huge step up from deadly cartels and gangs running trade through protection and extortion rackets.
